This course provides advisers with an overview of the main legislation covering educational rights and entitlements for all school aged young people in Northern Ireland. It will address some of the main issues facing young people and their parents. These include; access to special educational needs provision and the rights of the young person; suspensions and expulsions; accessing free school meals and other financial supports.
