Do you know if you work or volunteer in the community, you can use your experience to gain direct access to this part-time degree. Study 1 day per week over 4 years to gain a professionally accredited 3rd level qualification in Community Development. Early exit options available in years 2 and 3. Limited places still available.

The 2019 Peace Building Summer School organised by Diverisity Challenges, UMASS Boston, Ulster University, Rural Community Newtwork, West Armagh Consortium and REACT will take place July 8th – 17th based at Charlemount Arms Hotel Armagh. Full cost Bursaries are available

Peace Building Summer School based in Amragh supported by Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Reconciliation Fund will provide a unique opportunity for those working on peace-building and reconciliation across Ireland to learn of the impact of the conflict on a rural border community, learn of local actions that have built the present more peaceful society, explore the lasting issues of conflict. The forum of speakers, participants from differing backgrounds will provide an opportunity for networking and learning from the experiences thus assisting in your own peace-building work and obtain an OCN Level III qualification

In an increasingly divided world, is the sustainable development goal of peace, justice and strong institutions just an impossible dream? This World Café Conversation will explore all these issues and more. With input from key speakers on conflict and peacebuilding, we will explore how we can respond locally, nationally and internationally to the increasing divisions in the world around us. And perhaps most importantly we will consider what, if anything, we can do personally to build a more peaceful world.

We are a gathering of therapists/people and wish to add to our numbers Our meetings are based on a monthly commitment on a Sunday morning at 10am for two hours; Belfast BT9 Over the time we have been gathering, we have evolved a space where we meet each other and ourselves mutually and at depth with commitment; presence; openness; warmth and acceptance without judgment; laughter and fun.

Designed for those working with international aid and development organisations, this workshop will explore the ethics of taking and sharing photographs of development work in the Global South, focusing especially on representation with dignity and obtaining informed consent. This event is hosted by the Photography Ethics Centre as part of One World Festival 2019.

SPACE NI is holding a two-day fun filled Playground Survival Residential Bootcamp for P5 – P7 children (one overnight stay). This residential will help children build resilience, confidence and emotional wellbeing as well as inspiring confidence and developing emotional strength. Our team of highly skilled and accredited facilitators will be delivering the Friends for Life Resilience Programme combined with fun group activities over two days. The FRIENDS programmes are CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) based programmes, endorsed by the World Health Organisation, as best practice for the prevention and treatment of anxiety, promoting resilience in families, schools and communities.
