RCN presents this talk as part of its Rural Shared History Project - “100 years of change” Broadcaster and Historian Dr. David Hume looks at the formative years of Northern Ireland and examines the Road to Partition in 1921.

Fifty years after the world said “Never Again” to the horrors of the Holocaust, genocide took place on European soil. The name Srebrenica has become synonymous with those dark days in July 1995 when, in the first ever United Nations declared safe area, thousands of men and boys were systematically murdered and buried in mass graves. The victims, who were Muslim, were selected for death on the basis of their identity. This was the worst atrocity on European soil since the Second World War. When we commemorate genocide, we usually focus on the very darkest aspects of human nature. We ask ourselves why. Why do people hate? Why do people rape? Why do people kill? We should also ask: How do people survive? How do people hold hope? How do people resist?

This 90-minute session will help you challenge negative PIP decisions by focusing on significant regulations, guidance and case law to incorporate into your mandatory reconsiderations, appeals and complaints to the assessment provider.

RCN in conjunction with the Ulster Scots Community Network is offering a four week course providing a basic introductory overview of Ulster Scots history and culture.

This course can be completed 1 day per week for 6 weeks and is an excellent opportunity to refresh, or reskill. Courses are running face to face in all campuses, online option is also available

The level 3 OCN CAVA Qualification is the full certificate for assessing occupational competence and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding. Delivered online to meet needs in Belfast, Antrim and greater Northern Ireland communities. This qualification is suitable for trainee assessors working in a learning and development capacity e.g. NVQ programmes, apprenticeships, and non regulated frameworks.

The Little Forget Me Nots Trust is hosting a unique event which helps kick start the beginning of Baby Loss Awareness week.   October is such a loud month for grieving parents and families.  Baby Loss Awareness Week falls from 9th-15th October, on one hand raising awareness is amazing but it can be too much for many and that is why we want to invite you along to join us as we meet as a community, to show you that you are not alone. We would like to invite you, a fellow biker and your biker buddies to our very special Little Remembrance Ride from Peatlands Park on Sunday 9th October beginning at 10am.
