CANS would like to invite you to online workshop on the Mental Health awareness workshop for people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities in Northern Ireland.

Do you live in the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council area or work with groups in the area? Would you like to know a bit more about how to manage your money during these difficult times? Join one or all of the free, independent information sessions being delivered in your area by a professional adviser. These sessions are part of the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council funded project to support those in the ABC area to manage money and debt in the cost of living crisis. The sessions are available to anyone living in the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council area.

Positive Steps Outdoors is a local social enterprise that promotes positive mental and physical health by connecting people to our majestic upland, moorland and forested environments, and each other. Our green therapy event is in collaboration with Aware NI, Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke, British Mountaineering Council, the Wellbeing Pathway, Belfast Hills Partnership and Mourne Heritage Trust, with the support of our patron ex boxer Carl Frampton. We will spend the morning at the Ormeau Baths in Belfast city centre exploring mental and physical health challenges in communities and businesses, the value of improved mental and physical health and the role that green therapy plays before a walk in the Belfast Hills to put it into practice.

Positive Steps Outdoors have an upcoming green therapy programme for this spring and summer, focusing on promoting positive mental health through nature walks with mindfulness-based coaching. Here are the key details: • Programme Structure: Half-day midweek and full-day weekend events offer flexibility. • Dates and Locations: Various scenic locations including Divis and Black Mountains, Donard Forest, Tollymore Forest Park, Mournes area and more with events from May to Sep 24. • Accessibility: Suitable for all fitness levels, no prior experience required. • Equipment Loaned: We can provide equipment as part of the fee for hassle-free walks.
