Level 1 training is the starting point for learning Makaton. It is recommended for: - parents, family members, carers and workers who need to use Makaton at home and in their work - participants who need a more detailed knowledge about using and applying Makaton to develop the communication skills of others

Makaton Taster Session takes 90 minutes and provides an introduction to Makaton and how it can support language and communication development.

Northern Ireland has the highest proportion of jobs paid below the real Living Wage in the UK, with some council areas seeing rates as high as one in four. Women are disproportionately affected, with 24.5% earning below the Real Living Wage compared to 16.3% of men. Part-time workers face an even greater disparity - at 38%, they are nearly three times more likely to be paid below the Real Living Wage than full-time workers, where only 13.5% fall below this threshold.
