SARDA IN is a voluntary search and rescue (SAR) dog association that provides accredited SAR dogs specifically trained to search for live or deceased missing person(s) in a variety of terrain such as - Mountains, Open Country, Forests, Watercourses and Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) both locally and internationally.
We are a registered charity NIC No: 101234
SARDA IN is the only officially recognised voluntary SAR dog team on the Northern Ireland Search and Rescue (NISAR) Assets Register and as such, we are primarily tasked by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
SARDA IN provide the USAR Dog Team for the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) and are deployed by them to specific structural collapse searches.
We can also be tasked to assist the Mountain Rescue (MR) Teams across Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK to search for missing person(s).
SARDA IN is entirely made up of volunteers who remain on standby 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
