This Award is an introductory qualification for candidates who are interested in acquiring knowledge about the role of an Independent Advocate. It comprises of the unit Understanding the Purpose and Role of the Independent Advocate. This is a knowledge based unit. The qualification has four learning outcomes: Understand the principles of Independent Advocacy. Understand the role of the Independent Advocate. Understand communication methods used in Independent Advocacy. Understand equality, diversity and inclusion.
