The role of Youth Development Support Worker will be a key member of Cliftonville Community Centre staff team and will be Centre based.

The Cliftonville Community Centre opened in November 2001 and has been providing key services to the local community since that time.  The Centre is located at 60-64 Manor Street, North Belfast and is on a main interface site. According to NINIS the Waterworks ward is within the 10% most deprived wards in Northern Ireland.  Some of the particular problems highlighted in the report include high unemployment, low incomes, poor educational attainment, poor health and in particular, a poor social environment.

The Youth Development Support Worker will play a key role in helping to reduce any negative impacts that such deprivation has had and is having on the young people in the area.
