This service supports ABI survivors individuals needs, their empowerment and their individual preferences.
The telephone counselling service offered by Brain Injury Matters is specifically tailored and deemed for those brain injury survivors capable of engaging verbally and effectively using this communication option without compromising their confidentiality or choice of service delivery. The service is currently delivered two days a week (Thursday and Friday) by our qualified counsellor who has proficient knowledge and understanding of a range of issues and challenges relating to brain injury.
In the current circumstances, this service will provide brain injury survivors with increased access to rehabilitation; help to reduce feelings of anxiety and stress as well as reducing the feelings of isolation. Once you have made a referral to the service; you will be given an appointment time for the counsellor to phone you to conduct the counselling session.
