As part of the August 2022 Féile an Phobail, the Integrated Education Fund (IEF) is hosting a Discussion & Debate event exploring differences and similarities between the two education systems on the island of Ireland.

All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. Duration A minimum of six contact hours in the classroom, consisting of practical and theoretical activities, plus some pre-course activity could be required. Ideally, the course should be run over one day, but can be spread over a longer time period if you so desire, providing it is completed within 4 weeks of starting the course and the training sessions last for a minimum of two hours. Syllabus A range of subjects are covered including:- • Responsibilities and reporting • Assessment of the situation • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Basic hygiene in First Aid Certification • Resuscitation and AED awareness • Anatomy • Minor injuries • Bleeding control • Burns • Choking • Epilepsy • Shock Practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor, and a three year qualification will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria. In addition, the HSE strongly recommend that all students undergo an annual refresher programme of three hours

First Aid for Churches Training Service can now offer this accredited 1-day course. Certificates provided by Training Qualifications UK (Ofqual regulated). All you need to do is to provide the accommodation and the learners - I come to you! Training delivered in a relaxed and friendly manner. Covid risk assessment available on request.

Belfast Exposed presents AEON, a solo exhibition by Swiss photographer and artist Marcel Rickli. AEON explores radioactive waste repositories and how they will affect humanity for generations to come. Rickli explores how humanity can create symbols and language that will be capable of warning future generations of the dangerous sites for thousands of years to come.

Belfast Exposed is delighted to present a solo exhibition by Pulitzer Prize winning Northern Irish photographer Cathal McNaughton who travelled to Cox's Bazar in 2017 to document the plight of the Rohingya people who were fleeing a deadly crackdown by Myanmar's army on Rohingya Muslims, forcing hundreds of thousands across the border into neighbouring Bangladesh.

Belfast Exposed is delighted to present We Are One World, exhibiting the work selected from the One World Photography competition announced by CADA NI, in partnership with Press Eye Photography.

The Prisons Memory Archive is a collection of stories and films recorded at the Maze Long Kesh prisons and Armagh Gaol, where ex-prisoners, prison officers, probation officers, families, educators, artists and others explored their relationship and memories to the site through the lens of their personal experience with conflict. The first of these recording will now be available within PRONI.

Casual and Full Time Opportunities Available in Social Care

NICVA and the Research and Enterprise Directorate at Queen’s University would like to invite colleagues to join us to explore practical solutions to facilitate community based research at 3pm on Tuesday 19th of February 2019.

This online Workshop will introduce you to some of the basic requirements and planning you can put in place for more succesful meetings/sessions/workshops with others. If you have a key role in organising, facilitatiing and following up on meetings then this Workshop will focus on some of those steps you should take to ensure that those involved participate and engage fully during the meeting/session/workshop. This will be relevant whether there are only 2 people participating or for much larger gatherings.
