Nature lovers are invited to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by making a lasting contribution to the environment. Mark this historic event by rolling up your sleeves to plant trees at Northern Ireland’s new ‘Diamond Wood’, just outside Whitehead.

First Minister Peter Robinson MLA today (25 January) put trees and woodland in the spotlight by planting the first of 60 oaks at Stormont Estate.

Landowners in the Faughan Valley are being offered the gift of new native woodland thanks to an exciting new landscape initiative, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
