Motor Neurone Disease Association

The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on MND care, research and campaigning. We are a membership organisation with nearly 8,000 members forming a powerful national and local network across the UK and NI that provides information and support alongside fighting for improved services.

We improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers.

We fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments, and brings us closer to a cure for MND.

We campaign and raise awareness so the needs of people with MND and everyone who cares for them are recognised and addressed by wider society.

Services 

Whether you have been diagnosed with MND or you know someone who has, our services could make a real difference to you. These include MND Connect (our advice and information helpline), Publications on MND, Regional Care Development Advisers, Association Visitors, Branches & Groups, Equipment Loan, Support Grants and Care Centers.

MND Connect is our advice, information and support service helpline for people living with MND, people affected by MND, carers, health and social care professionals and volunteers. We can offer advice, practical and emotional support and direction to other services and agencies.

You can also join our online forum, which is a safe place for people affected by MND to share experiences and support each other with the challenges of living with the disease. The Forum is post moderated.
