Brain Injury Matters delivers a range of bespoke support services at home and in the community led by an experienced team of professionals. Our team comprises of a wide variety of backgrounds and experience with expertise in supporting children, adults and families affected by traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury.
We offer a range of programmes as follows:
Children and Youth Services:
The Children and Youth Services offer one-to-one and group services to young people and their families to achieve self-identified goals including, age-appropriate independence, social and educational engagement, and psychological adjustment post-ABI to improve overall health and well-being.
In addition, social events are offered to support young people with brain injuries and their families to engage in social inclusion opportunities.
Adults Services
Brain Injury Matters offers a range of wellbeing programmes throughout the week designed specifically for adults living with brain injuries either in our centre in Belfast or through our Friday Pedal Power Sports programme.
Each adult programme aims to improve various aspects of life, including cognitive and physical health, and support social and emotional health and well-being, aiding recovery and rehabilitation.
We offer a Counselling Service via telephone or virtually to adults with brain injuries and family members above the age of 18yrs.
We deliver our services in collaboration with and to complement other providers within the sector including the community brain injury teams and voluntary sector partners.
