Board of Trustees

Parenting Focus is the leading charity for supporting parents in Northern Ireland.  We deliver a range of high-quality services for parents’ including:

• Freephone Support Line and Web Chat
• Programmes and Workshops
• Family Support Services including home visiting in Belfast and Southern Trust areas and Dads Support
• Parental Participation to allow parents to have their say on issues affecting them
• Employee Wellbeing to give organisations the tools to support their parent employees
• Training for Practitioners working with parents and families including OCN Level 4 Working with Parents
• Partnership Projects working in collaboration with other charities and organisations, as well as being part of a number of partnerships projects

Board members must be committed to the vision, mission and values of Parenting Focus.  The Board meetings take place approximately 4 times a year (including an Annual General Meeting). 

The role of a Board member includes contributing to Board discussions and decisions, and to bring independent judgement on issues of strategy, performance, key opportunity and accountability.

If you have an interest in our work and are a parent, have a background in finance, human resources, strategic planning, law, working in the statutory, voluntary or community sector, we would like to hear from you.  Induction, training and support will be provided.  Although the Trustee role in unpaid, we will reimburse reasonable expenses.
