Oxfam Ballyhackamore

We are the Ballyhackamore (E.Belfast) retail store for the fantastic international aid organisation Oxfam.

Oxfam is a global movement of people who won’t live with the injustice of poverty. Together we save lives and rebuild communities when disaster strikes. We help people build better lives for themselves. We speak out on the big issues that keep people poor, like inequality and discrimination against women.

And we won’t stop until every person on the planet can live without poverty.

Our store offers sustainable fashion, furniture, books, media and bric-a-brac at reasonable prices to the local community and is supported by an diverse team of amazing volunteers.

We offer those that volunteer with us the opportunity to develop their employment and social skills, meet new people and serve the local community all while raising vital funds for those in need around the world. We also welcome people taking part in temporary placements for award schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Awards (16 years and above), school volunteering programs and placements through other charities.

We are currently seeking volunteers for: front of store, back room/sorting, social media, collection/delivery and van driving.
