The aims of Caw/Nelson Drive Action Group are to create and develop opportunities for local people to close the gap between the quality of life in one of the most deprived neighbourhoods within the Derry City and Strabane District Council area and the quality of life for the rest of society.

We do this by offering a wide range of educational and

recreational courses, social engagement, advice & family support, health awareness programmes, community safety initiatives, environmental initiatives, older people’s luncheon club and activities. An example of some of our activities are parenting programmes, womens group, IT Classes, befriending scheme, creative craft and arts courses, summer schemes and fun days which are open to all. We also provide training courses, volunteering opportunities and work placements which help to build skills, capacity and increase employability. We strive to build genuine partnerships based on strong effective relationships, trust and mutual respect which in turn lay the foundations for building bridges and connecting the Caw/Nelson Drive area to the wider community.
