Youth Engagement Worker - 12 hrs per week - 2 posts

Based in Ardoyne, the Youth Engagement Workers will work with young people through outreach/detached work and programme delivery. 

They will be to work directly with young people through outreach/detached work and programme delivery to develop their social education. 12 hour week, 3 shifts per week (mainly evenings - some weekend shifts).

As part of the team, through needs assessment and in consultation with the local community, the persons appointed will be responsible for creating opportunities and initiatives focussed on group work, community relations, gender work and other areas relating to the youth work curriculum, which will enhance opportunities for the personal and social development of young people.

Salary: £6,748.56 (£20,808.06 pro rata – JNC pt 7)

Contract: These are permanent posts, however they are dependent on future funding, which is currently secured until March 2025. Jobs subject to 6 month probation period.

Holidays: 11.2 days per year

Hours of work: 12 hours per week but willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends essential. Indicative work pattern – two shifts per week with rotating weekends.
