
Fermanagh Women's Aid has been at the forefront of providing intervention and trauma informed response to domestic abuse for over 30 years. We work with women and children who have experienced domestic abuse and keep their voices central to our work. Our vision is to end domestic abuse and establish a future where it is unacceptable and where women and children are safe in their homes.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
We are seeking women to join our Board of Directors, working co-operatively at governance and strategic level to oversee the overall management and strategic development of the organisation. The Board brings together women from a range of backgrounds, skills and experience, who are working to meet challenges and opportunities in a changing environment.
We invite applications from women with the following:
- Lived experience of domestic violence (at least two years out of an abusive relationship and/or exited from Women’s Aid services
- Legal Expertise
- Human Resources
- Strategic Planning
- Finance and Fundraising
- Governance (preferable)
The role of a Trustee requires a commitment of 3 - 4 hours per month, to include evening Board Meetings, AGM and other committee meetings.
Board members may act as ambassadors for the organisation, representing us at events and helping to raise awareness of our work and impact.
