Senior Facilitator (Ballymena Area) - 37.5 hours per week
Colin Neighbourhood Partnership

Are you ready to join an exciting and ambitious new project team - part of a major cross-border initiative funded by EU PEACEPLUS - that is aiming to develop an innovative regional model of Early Intervention to support families with children who have queried neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism and ADHD?
Colin Neighbourhood Partnership (CNP) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Facilitator to deliver a wide range of workshops, short programmes and longer evidence-based programmes including Incredible Years, Invest in Play, Parents Plus and Triple P, to parents/carers of children with behaviours consistent with Autism and ADHD. The team (with a main project base in West Belfast and a second base in or around Ballymena) will be responsible for regional delivery across much of Northern Ireland, with another partner organisation responsible for the border counties, and a third partner focusing on evaluation and e-health development.
The Senior Facilitator will co-ordinate the work of a small team based in or around Ballymena, as well as facilitating workshops and programmes themselves, and will be the first point of contact for the team with the CNP Regional Manager for The Changing Lives Initiative. Experience of previously delivering any of the evidence-based parent programmes identified (such as Incredible Years) will be an advantage but is not essential.
This post will be based primarily in the Northern Trust area, in or around Ballymena, but may from time to time be required to work at the main project base in Colin, West Belfast, to meet operational requirements including scheduled team training. Regular travel across the Northern Trust will also be required.
This will be a learning and development project, and extensive training will be provided to the team. We require applicants to have at least three years' experience of working with or supporting families, children or young people. Experience of delivering evidence-based parenting programmes, or a knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism and ADHD will be an advantage but are not essential requirements for applicants. What is essential are motivation and passion, a flexible teamworking approach, and excellent organisational and communication skills.
Although this post is until September 2028, consistent with our EU funding, building sustainability for this model of support as a practical solution to ever-growing waiting lists for neurodevelopmental diagnosis will be a central aspect of the project from day one. We're confident that the skills and experience our team acquire will continue to provide significant employment opportunities after this project funding ends.
