
The post holder will support activities delivered in a group setting to young people and adults with learning disability or autism. You will support participants to engage in the activities and ensure a safe and supportive environment is in place. Your role will provide cover for when permanent staff are on leave, and you will ideally be available at various times during the year.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support participants to engage in the various activities including training courses, gardening, arts/crafts, quizzes, games, movies, cookery.
- Support the project officer to ensure a safe and supportive environment is in place.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- 3 months experience of working with young people or adults with disability, paid or voluntary.
DESIREABLE CRITERIA
- Emergency First Aid at Work training completed within the last 2 years.
- Food Hygiene Certificate completed within the last 2 years.
REQUIREMENTS
- The post holder will be required to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check, which will be funded by Orchardville.
- In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate our values of Empowerment, Quality, User focused, Integrity, Passion (EQUIP).
