Project Administrator with HR Responsibilities
A Safe Space to be Me

We’re looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Project Administrator to join our small, dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone who loves keeping things running smoothly and wants to contribute to something meaningful, even if they’re not on the front lines.
You’ll provide vital admin support across the organisation, including:
- Helping coordinate volunteers and trainee counsellors (think scheduling, records, and communication — not managing people!)
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintaining up-to-date HR records and helping with policy updates
- Assisting with finance admin like processing invoices, logging expenditure, and preparing simple budget info
- Keeping systems tidy, organised and efficient
You don’t need to be an expert in HR or finance, just someone who’s methodical, tech-confident, and keen to learn. You’ll be supported by the Directors and Safe Space team, with clear processes and templates to guide you.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a values-led, community-focused organisation — and who takes real pride in being the calm, reliable centre of a busy team.
About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re:
- Organised and detail-focused — you enjoy bringing order to busy system
- A great communicator — friendly, clear, and happy to liaise with colleagues and volunteers
- Comfortable using digital tools like Excel, email, and cloud-based systems (we use things like Outlook — we’ll show you the ropes)
- Happy working independently, but also collaborative when needed
- Trustworthy with sensitive information — you understand the importance of confidentiality
- Motivated by making a positive impact, even behind the scenes
Bonus (but not essential): experience in HR or finance admin, charity admin, or working with volunteers.
What We Offer
- A chance to be part of a small, mission-driven team where your work really matters
- Supportive leadership and a culture that genuinely values wellbeing
- Opportunities to grow your skills in admin, HR, and finance with hands-on support
- 25 days holiday pro rata + bank holidays
- A welcoming, inclusive environment where your contribution helps others find hope and healing
