Fermanagh Women's Aid is recruiting a Floating Support Worker to work as a member of the highly skilled Floating Support / Refuge Team in the delivery of support service for female victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Contract:  12 months fixed term commencing January 2025, for 37.5 hours per week, subject to funding. within the Floating Support Team in Fermanagh Women's Aid.

 

Reports to :  Floating Support Team Leader

 

The position will require daytime work, Monday to Friday with some evening/weekend work.

Working pattern to be confirmed with the successful candidate.

Essential:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Social Care or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or similar skills evidenced through sufficient experience.
  • Minimum of 12 months' paid experience of working with Adults in a supportive role within a residential or community setting.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of working with victims of Domestic/Sexual violence is preferable.
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of people of differing needs and abilities.
  • Experience of Advocacy Work.
  • Experience of working with agencies, statutory bodies and Community Service Providers.
  • Experience of needs and risk assessment and support planning.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
  • Valid Driving Licence with access to a car.
