
About the Role
Bolster Community is seeking a Family Support Worker to deliver early intervention and support services to children (aged 0-17) and their families across the Southern Trust area.
This role focuses on emotional and practical support, early intervention, and delivering evidence-based parenting programmes to help families navigate challenges and build resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide home-based emotional and practical support to parents/carers and children
- Plan and deliver evidence-based parenting programmes
- Identify early intervention opportunities to support families in need
- Assist with practical tasks such as form filling, making appointments, and meal preparation
- Offer guidance to parents in supporting their childrenβs education
- Signpost and connect families with relevant services and agencies
- Engage βhard to reachβ families, encouraging participation in services and community events
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to child protection policies
Who We're Looking For
- Experience working with families and children in a supportive or intervention role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of early intervention and family support approaches
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with professionals and local organisations
