The Business Development Officer (BDO) will seek to maximise the commercial return and reduce our dependence on grant aid, increasing the social economy activity within the NMT. Some of our existing social economy projects include: Tus Maith: including garden pallet furniture. Marquee Hire. Ballymagowan Allotments. Free Derry Coffee van. More & Less Refill shop. Up cycling project. The Business Development Officer (BDO) will be responsible for identifying and maximising the business potential of the organisation including existing projects and developing new work income streams working towards maximising all our existing and new Assets to achieve growth and the sustainability of the NMT, but at all times remaining within the strong social, economic and environmental ethos and ideals that are the core of the NMT.

This position is designed for two individuals to share responsibilities, allowing for a collaborative approach to business development at NMT.  Each Business Development Officer will have the opportunity to contribute their unique skills and strengths while working towards common goals. This role requires working a minimum of three days per week.
