Community Mental Health Teams are usually made up of Community Psychiatric Nurses, Psychiatrists, Social Workers and in some cases support workers. They provide community-based support to individuals to enable them to cope with their experience of mental illness. They do this through assessment, education, advice and therapeutic support. The team can also access a range of other services.
