WordPress is an open-source web publishing platform that can be used to allow anyone and everyone to publish content to the web.
WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world.
WordPress is free and open source, it is run by a community of volunteers the world over. Our local WordPress community is seeking to assist charities and non-profits to easily and affordably publish their content to the web. And to give those organisations an easy to maintain web presence.
