A partnership set up to provide a rural community development service is currently being offered to local community
groups, social enterprises and farm families across the Derry~Londonderry Council and Strabane District Council areas
The following services are offered to local community groups, social enterprises and farm families:
- A number of dedicated staff to offer comprehensive one to one support and advice on setting up and or reviewing the operations of your organisation.
- Assistance with project development including guidance on fundraising and grant applications (access can be provided to GrantTracker).
- Opportunities to attend local networking events organised by the service throughout the year which provide an opportunity for learning, sharing ideas and business link/partnership working.
- Providing access to small grant programmes delivered to the community sector in the local area.
- Opportunities to attend local training workshops and events and best practice visits organised by the partnership.
- Provision of a rural voice and a web presence for groups through use of our social media and websites.
- RAPID newsletter Rural News keeping groups up to date with local issues, funding opportunities and matters affecting the rural area.
- Representation of the community sector at a regional and local level.
- Assistance with lobbying to statutory bodies for local groups.
- Forum for consultation.
