Who are REC First Aid Trainers N.I

Rescue Emergency Care was formed in Scotland in the early 1980s by Specialist doctors with the core aims of:

Introducing innovative, informative, accessible and practical first aid training at all skill levels in areas of First Aid at Work or for those involved in recreation or the community.

Research new developments and training methods and offer help and advice to all.

Encourage the training and development of Emergency Care for those working in remote environments, i.e. Hill walkers and adventure sport participants.

REC First Aid Trainers N I operates under the auspices of R.E.C and all HSE FAW courses are registered as REC Courses

All of our REC Trainers are registered with the Health & Safety Executive N.I & The Employment Medical Advisory Service as an ‘Approved Trainer of First Aid Training & Assessment’.

We are also members of the Association of First Aiders, the representative body for First Aid Training Organisations.

Insurance

We hold full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance for all aspects of our business.

Should you have concerns about your legal responsibility/ liability in your role as a First Aider in your organisation, persons trained and certified by REC First Aid Trainers N.I can avail of an insurance package from the Association of First Aiders that will provide for all of your needs, please ask for details.

HSE NI First Aid at Work 3 days

HSE NI Emergency First Aid 1 day

HSE NI Refresher Courses 2 day

CPR & Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Training & Assessment 1/2 Day

First Aid for Sports Coaches & Adventure Activities 1 or 2 days, as per customer requirements

REC Level 1 Basic Life Support 1day

REC Level 2 First Aid (for those requiring higher skill levels) 2 days

REC Level 3 Standard First Aid (Public) 3 days

REC Level 2 Adventure Emergency First Aid 2 days

REC Level 2 Early Years / Childminders 2 days

REC Level 1 Basic First Aid in Schools & Youth Clubs 1 day

REC Level 4 Advanced First Aid* 2 days

REC Level 5 Expedition First Aid* 2 days

*On completion of our 2 day emergency first aid course

All our First Aid courses are fully certified and valid for 3 years.

A.E.D (Defibrillator training) is valid for 1 year.

Training Venues

As we are a fully mobile service, we will come directly to your place of business and deliver the training ‘in house’ at a time of your choosing, thus ensuring that you maximise the availability of your Staff, Coaches , or Leaders and members, reducing down time for your organisation. This in-house approach will have the added benefit of reducing costs to your organisation. Should you not be able to provide a suitable training room, we will provide one at a location of your choosing, further reducing costs of travel for your candidates. We operate 7 days a week across Ireland including evening and weekend sessions, allowing you greater flexibility to programme your staff to attend. Please ask for further details.

Training Programme Costs

We believe that we offer real value for money, with prices starting from as little as £45.00pp, we are confident that we offer a very competitive pricing structure for all of our courses. We keep our overheads to a minimum and pass these savings on to you our customer. Our quoted fees include all staffing, resources, equipment, training manuals and certification; there are no hidden costs.

As an added benefit, we also offer free membership for our successful candidates to the Association of First Aiders, who will provide comprehensive insurance, automatic online first aid training updates and advice, as well as discussion forums on the latest topics within the world of first aid training.

Event Cover

R.E.C. First Aid Trainers also specialise in the provison of medical cover for private and public events, so if it is a festival or sports event, we will provide you with the best medical and first aid cover available, ensuring your peace of mind and providing your customers with with quality care at all times.
