We are an anti poverty charity based in East London but running training in Belfast and other parts of the UK We have devised a series of workshops called Made of Money. Made of Money is family learning course around money. As well as covering the basics of credit, debt, and budgeting, this course is different because it looks at attitudes, values and emotions around money. It also covers communication, advertising and branding and how we pass on values about money to our children. It is all delivered in a very informal way, with cards, games, exercises, plenty of chat and cups of tea! We have found that it's a great 'way in' to those families who would not necessarily take up money advice otherwise. As well as delivering the course in East London we train others to run Made of Money elsewhere in the UK by means of a 2 day hands on training and provision of a resource box.
