Dunmurry Community Association

DUNMURRY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION (DCA) is a registered charity and local community group established in 1973. We promote the benefit of the general public through our different programmes and community led initiatives. We provide development support for the community. We also provide through advocacy and leadership, advice and community support. We also provide learning and development activities by organising and workshops, training courses, and providing mentoring and employability skills and programme. We also lead and provide community empowerment and capacity building initiatives, support and networking opportunities, and engage the community to ensure constant community interaction and opportunities for the community to shape our activities. We engage with various statutory bodies, councillors, and the government through lobbying and advocacy work to advocate for improved opportunities and facilitate the provision of better facilities and resources of need for the use of the community. We run a various programmes and activities including a Youth Club, Senior Citizens Club, Monthly Community Advice Centre, Ethnic Minority Support, Training and Development, Cultural events and celebrations, cross-community initiatives, Community Education, and a number of other programmes and activities as from time to time becomes necessary.

Our activities and programmes benefits all of the community in Dunmurry regardless of religion, ethnic or national identity, race, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or political beliefs and always operate within a cross-community ethos.

DCA is managed by a voluntary board of management with the help of team of volunteers.
