We are a local community resource centre based in Carndonagh, we open daily to facilitate all sections of the community. We have a varied programmme of actitivies for all the community and for all ages.
The management of the Colgan Hall consists of a voluntary committee set up to offer an accessible and inclusive community and resource centre that meets the cultural and social needs of Carndonagh and the wider hinterland. The group was established in March 2003. It was set up a as a limited company by guarantee and not having a share capital in October 2004. It has an operating Memorandum & Articles of Association. The company also has audit accounts in each financial year since. The current focus of the committee is:
- To manage the existing programme which includes Irish dancing, bingo, scouts marital arts, weekly slimming world and weight watchers classes, music and singing, and art classes for children and other ad hoc events including adult business development classes and HSE and Solas courses.
- To redevelop the hall into a modern facility which will meet the Health & Safety and Access standards.
- To develop a more extensive programme of activities.
