CLARE

Formed in 2013 by members of the North Belfast Community, CLARE (Creative Local Action, Response and Engagement) uses a community development social work approach to address social isolation, improve health & well-being, promote independence by empowering older vulnerable individuals (65+) to shape and manage their care and support, drawing on skills within local communities.

CLARE aims to improve the health and wellbeing of older and vulnerable people in North Belfast using innovative community led approaches that will reduce isolation and loneliness, promote independence and a fulfilling life.

Social work is at the heart of CLARE CIC and allows us to bring strengthened support to our service users. With social work expertise, complemented with a health & wellbeing approach, we seek to provide long lasting and significant changes. We are a small team of five comprised of; a Development Manager (Chief Officer), a registered Social Worker, a Community Health Facilitator and two Community Wellbeing Support Workers.
