Volunteering Small Grants Programme N.I Launched
The Minister for Social Development has rebalanced the financial assistance provided for supporting volunteering and the mechanisms for delivery. In the financial years 2013/14 and 2014/15 the financial resources allocated for the Volunteering Small Grant
Limavady Community Development Initiative, as lead partner for the Association of Independent Volunteer Centres*, has been appointed by DSD as the Intermediary Funding Body for the Volunteering Small Grants Programme. The application process for Volunteering Small Grants has been redesigned and the programme is being run as an NI-wide regional programme rather than as localised programmes. To be eligible for grant assistance (minimum award £200 – maximum award £1500) organisations must not have an annual income exceeding £100,000 per year.
