Volunteer with Macmillan Cancer Support and help people affected by cancer with practical tasks at home.
Macmillan is setting up new volunteer-led services of Community Helpers which we'd love you to be a part of. The service will provide people affected by cancer with the type of practical and emotional support they require at the time they need it.
Friday / 11 October 2013 2:12pm
Volunteers will visit people at home and provide help with practical things like shopping, ironing and light housework. Just a few hours every week could make a big difference. Many people affected by cancer struggle to cope with the physical, practical and emotional effects of cancer. Some may feel very isolated and lonely, especially if they have no family or friends close by.
We are looking for volunteers and lead volunteers to help in East Belfast, Lisburn and South Down.
