TIme to crack on with Christmas Connections

Christmas Connections targets people who are thinking about giving some time during the Festive season.

This year will mark the fourth year of Volunteer Now’s Christmas Connections campaign which aims to highlight short term and one off volunteering opportunities across Northern Ireland that are available in the lead up to the festive season.

Targeting people who are thinking about getting involved, the campaign encourages them to make volunteering part of their festive traditions by adding volunteering to their festive ‘to do’ list and choosing an opportunity from the Volunteer Now opportunities database under the Christmas Connections Activity list.

For many people this small step and the feel good factor that comes with it could be just what they need to get involved in volunteering.  Involvement from organisations and volunteers registering for opportunities has been steadily growing and we’re confident that it will continue to do so.

If your organisation has a volunteering opportunity which might fit nicely with Christmas Connections (it should be short term, one off or a turn up and try volunteering opportunity, perhaps suitable for the whole family) now is the time to start thinking about writing it up to appeal to potential volunteers.   The rest is simple, just register it on the Volunteer Now opportunities database choosingChristmas Connections’ from the drop down list.

We are planning a Northern Ireland wide launch and promotion to encourage potential volunteers to register from the autumn.
