Visit the Big Christmas Photo Sale and support the work of Mitchell House School

SNAP TO IT!

Ahead of the festive season, Belfast Exposed has received submissions from amateur and professional artists alike for its 2023 Big Christmas Photo Sale to support Mitchell House School.

Now in its third year, the Big Christmas Photo Sale provides a unique opportunity for anyone with a passion for photography to have their own work exhibited while also being available for sale to members of the public visiting the exhibition.

Primarily with a dual-purpose in that new and emerging artists can have their work showcased, while a commission from each sale goes towards supporting both Belfast Exposed’s Mental Health and Wellbeing programme and Mitchell House School in east Belfast, and the sale continues to attract hundreds of submissions from across Northern Ireland.

Deirdre Robb, CEO of Belfast Exposed, said:

“We are looking forward to this year’s exhibition and sale, as we do every year, as it provides a wonderful platform to get never before seen pieces in front of audiences and an opportunity for someone to have something they created admired, talked about and bought.

“This year we decided to expand our support to Mitchell House School as they do such amazing work with their students, particularly when it comes to enabling artistic expression. Of course, that’s what we strive to do with this Exhibition and Sale initiative, allowing anyone with a creative flair to share it with us, and the wider community.”

Mitchell House is a co-educational special school within the Belfast Education Authority area for children with physical disabilities, with many having an associated learning difficulty too.

In addition to the display of submitted works, there will also be the opportunity to purchase limited edition prints from the Belfast Exposed archive, one of Northern Ireland’s most valuable visual records of events, people and historic moments over the last hundred years.

The exhibition runs in Gallery 2 from Tuesday, 21st November until December 23rd.
