Santa Fun Run
Calling all wannabe Santas! Why not sign up for the Cancer Focus Northern Ireland Santa Christmas fun run and walk this Thursday - and help raise much needed funds for vital services for local cancer patients and their families. All are welcome.
Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, the new name for the Ulster Cancer Foundation, is holding a Christmas Santa fun run and walk, supported by Wine Inns,.
You can have a festive ball and still raise much needed cash for cancer patients and their families in Northern Ireland.
The 1½ mile fun run and walk will start at the Chelsea Wine Bar, Lisburn Road, Belfast, pass Queen’s University and finish at the Metro Bar at Lower Crescent. The fancy dress event will take place on Thursday 20th December.
Santas, reindeer, elves, angels and many more festive characters will meet at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
Neill Grainger, Cancer Focus, said, “All revellers will also receive a sponsorship card and I would encouraged them to join in the Christmas spirit by raising funds to help Cancer Focus continue to provide vital free services for cancer patients and their families in Northern Ireland.
“Our valuable services include support groups, counselling, health checks and advice, a helpline, education programmes for schools, smoking cessation clinics, Male Quick Fit sessions, art and creative writing therapy and much more.”
Remember to encourage your friends to get in on the action by posting your Santa photo on your Facebook page along with donation details.
Those taking part are invited to book on line at www.cancerfocusni.org/events or call 028 9068 0765. Entry is £10 for those who sign up before 14th December or pay £20 on the night.
