Radio Ulster Broadcast Appeal on behalf of Autism NI

Autism NI was established in 1989. It seeks to provide advice and support to people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, their families and carers.

The charity provides a range of services, including training and education courses, and also seeks to develop awareness of issues around autism within the wider community.

Autism NI has a network of support groups across the region, providing practical assistance and regular opportunities for people to meet and share experiences. It also promotes developmental research into autism and liaises with many different organisations and statutory bodies.

Every year, over 300 children are diagnosed with autism in Northern Ireland. It’s a condition which is becoming better understood, but many issues remain in terms of the challenges faced by people with autism, their support needs and those of their families and carers.

Autism NI is seeking you help through donations or by volunteering time to assist with its different activities.
