An acquired brain injury, or ABI, is something that occurs after birth. It may have many causes - an accident, illness such as meningitis, a stroke or brain tumour.
Brain injury affects everyone differently. The charity's Child and Family Support Coordinators provide advice and support that is tailored to each family's circumstances.
