Radio Ulster Appeal on behalf of Arthritis Care

Over 289,000 local people, including children, live with arthritis. It is a chronic, disabling condition that can affect people in different ways.

Arthritis Care offers advice and support on pain management and helps people get on with their everyday lives. The charity’s work includes training courses, a telephone helpline and activities for the carers and families of people affected by arthritis. It also provides regular opportunities for people to meet and share experiences.

Arthritis Care has a dedicated website which includes stories, advice and resources. All of this reflects the fact that arthritis affects people of different ages and in different ways. Arthritis Care, and its team of volunteers, are there to provide a listening ear and supportive arm for individuals and their families.
