Patient and Client Council encourages people in the West to join the Local Advisory Committee.

The Patient and Client Council, the independent voice for patients, clients, carers and communities on health and social care issues, is encouraging people in the Western area to join their Local Advisory Committee.

Fiona McCourt, Local Area Manager for the West says

“We want local people throughout the West to join the Western Local Advisory Committee.  We meet once every two months to discuss local health and social care issues.  We ensure that local people, groups and communities have a say on issues relating to the care of patients and services users and inform the Patient and Client Council Board.  This is a great opportunity to be involved in the future of health and social care services and help your local community.

You can apply to join the Local Advisory Committee by completing a short application form.  This can be downloaded from the “Get Involved” section of our website www.patientclientcouncil.hscni.net or you can telephone the Patient and Client Council for free on 0800 917 0222 to request a copy.  Closing dates for applications is 12noon on Monday 31st October 2011.
