An Opportunity for Volunteers to be Recognised
If you would like your group of volunteers to be given high profile recognition during next year's Volunteers' Week, you must secure their nomination for the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service before 30 September this year.
The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) is a prestigious national honour that has been given to over 40 volunteering groups across Northern Ireland. It has an equivalent status for voluntary groups as the MBE has for individuals.
Do you think your volunteers deserve recognition? Then go to http://qavs.direct.gov.uk for more information about the nomination process. DSD is supporting Volunteer Now and the NI QAVS Representative to promote the Award.
If you need further information please contact Walter Rader walterrader44@gmail.com or Sandra Adair sandra.adair@volunteernow.co.uk
