New leaflet highlighting importance of making a will is launched

The Law Society has launched a new leaflet which highlights the importance of making a will and provides guidance to those considering making one. For most people the idea of making a will is something they don't want to think about as it’s too emotional a subject matter or the prospect of making one seems difficult.

In Northern Ireland over 50% of the population have not made a will.

For those without a will this almost guarantees that their families and loved ones will have to face legal, financial and social problems when they die.

The importance of making a will provides your family, loved ones and friends with the peace of mind that your affairs are in order and that you have planned for them when you have passed away.

The new leaflet from the Society explains why it’s important to make a will and how to go about doing so.
