MyVote Political Survey

MyVote invites you to consider which of the political parties best represents your views on issues that will determined by our new councils when they take on full powers in April 2015.

MyVote

On Thursday 22 May 2014 the people of Northern Ireland will go to the polls to elect their local council in the greatest shakeup of local government in more than 40 years.

It’s not just that 26 councils are becoming 11, but the new councils are being given the powers to plan, invest in and develop local communities.

The Belfast Telegraph has teamed up with policy experts Chambré Public Affairs, and polling partner Lucid Talk to bring you the MyVote survey.

MyVote invites you to consider which of the political parties best represents your views on issues that will determined by our new councils when they take on full powers in April 2015.

If you set tribal politics to one side and based your decision at the polls on the issues and policies that the 11 new councils can decide on - would you give the same party your vote?

We hope to connect the public with the issues, and encourage participation and debate in the local government election.

Share the survey (#MyVote/ @chambrepa @BelTel), share your results but remember - MyVote hopes to challenge how you decide on your vote, it doesn’t tell you how to vote!
