Make the call for Christmas Connections

Volunteer Now’s Christmas Connections campaign aims to encourage more people  to get involved in a one-off or short volunteering opportunity as part of their festive celebrations.  Organisations can promote their Christmas opportunities on www.volunteernow.co.uk in time for individuals to give a few hours which will make a real difference in their local community before they get all wrapped up in the bustle of the season.

Wendy Osborne OBE, Chief Executive, Volunteer Now explains, “Many charities and community organisations need extra help around Christmas and offer short term or one off volunteering opportunities – from Santa Helpers at a grotto or fair, to carol singing to raise funds, or looking after an animal over the holidays.   By giving as little as an hour of their time for one of these roles, volunteers can make a big difference to an organisation or a cause.   The added bonus is that they will come away feeling good too.  It is win-win for everyone!”
