Leading on Global Volunteering

Wendy Osborne OBE Chief Executive, Volunteer Now, showcases the Northern Ireland Volunteering Strategy & Action Plan to colleagues from other national volunteer agencies from across 5 continents.  Wendy who is a board member of IAVE  (International Association for Volunteer Effort)  was part of the organising group for the World Conference on Volunteering held in London 10th - 12th December.   At this exciting and  dynamic three day conference she facilitated the first Global convening of National Volunteer Centres. Over 400 people attended the conference with representation from 70 countries. Wendy is currently working to establish a global network of national volunteering agencies to share experiences, expertise, challenges and innovations and to work together around shared goals.
