Law Society new video offers online advice

The Law Society of Northern Ireland have launched a new video to provide clients and the general public with advice and guidance regarding keeping their money safe online.

The video has been launched following increasing reports of scammers attempting to intercept deposit monies from clients using fake emails instructing clients to send their money to new bank accounts.

The scammers then steal the money which is generally never recoverable.

The new video reinforces the message that if you receive an email or text telling you to redeposit money at the last moment you should not do so until you have called, checked and confirmed that it is a genuine request.
