Kinship Care NI are offering a 6 week ‘Kinship Caring – The Legal Position’ course to grandparents and other family and friends’ carers living in the Derry City Council area.
The course will focus on some of the legal orders associated with kinship caring such as Care Orders, Residence Orders and Contact Orders as well as other issues such as Parental Responsibility; Legal Aid & Representation and Working with Solicitors & Barristers.
The course is targeted at grandparents and other kinship carers as well as anyone who wishes to gain a better understanding of the legal rights and responsibilities surrounding kinship care.
Date: Fridays, 23rd August 2013 – 27th September 2013 (6 weeks)
Time: 6.00pm-8.00pm
Venue: Lecture Theatre, 1st Floor, Central Library, 35 Foyle Street, L’Derry, BT48 6AL
