Kaleidoscope Competing for People's Millions

Kaleidoscope has been selected for this year’s Big Lottery People's Millions Competition!

For the last four years Kaleidoscope has been at the forefront of providing arts and cultural opportunities for older people in Northern Ireland. With projects like Acting Up and Imagine Arts Festival we help over 2000 older people every year to participate in and enjoy the arts.

The People's Millions gives the Northern Ireland public the opportunity to vote for the projects they feel deserve Lottery funding. Each year just six projects are selected from thousands of applicants to face the public vote and this year Kaleidoscope has made the final six!

Kaleidoscope are appealing for the public's support to create The Imagine Arts Centre, Northern Ireland's first ever Arts Centre for Older People. The new centre will be the first of its kind in the UK and will offer a year round programme of arts classes, events and activities exclusively for older people.

Kaleidoscope's Artistic Director, Kerry Rooney, believes this is a unique opportunity for Northern Ireland. "The Imagine Arts Centre will make a huge difference in the lives of older people all over Northern Ireland. It will also put Northern Ireland at the forefront of arts and cultural provision for older people in Europe”

Kaleidoscope and their project, The Imagine Arts Centre, will face the public vote on Tuesday 25th November and members of the public will have from 9am to 12 midnight on that day to cast their vote. The project will be featured on a special UTV Live at Six programme on the day and also in that days Daily Mirror newspaper which will reveal the all important voting telephone number.

Calls and texts cost just 15p and we desperately need your support. So please vote for the Imagine Arts Centre on Tuesday 25th November.
