IT & Creative Companies Battle it Out for the Addiction NI 10k Run “Fastest Workplace Award” Glory!

The IT and technology sectors have signed up more than any other and there seems to be some serious competition going on!

Addiction NI, a local alcohol and drug treatment charity is daring even more local businesses to take up their 10K Corporate Challenge on March 11 2012 and join in on the friendly competition.

Local businesses are invited to submit corporate teams of at least three employees to take part in the Addiction NI 10K Run in Ormeau Park, Belfast. Your team will be up against other local businesses for the “Fastest Workplace Award” which will be given to the overall fastest corporate team. This challenge is an excellent and inexpensive team building initiative and introduces employees to health and fitness.

John Black, a software engineer working for Asidua IT said, “This race is great because my colleagues and I can take part together and work as a team, supporting and motivating each other. The fact that it benefits Addiction NI makes every step worthwhile. I’m not surprised so many from the IT sector have signed up, they tend to have young workforces that are up for anything and it’s a well connected sector. I can’t wait to compete against my former classmates who have signed up teams from other companies like NI Soft and Liberty IT.”

Dr Claire Armstrong, Director of Addiction NI stated “I hope this run inspires local businesses to take action and sign up for the Addiction NI 10K Run. As a small, local charity we really need the funds and support.”
